Project manager:  Lisa Kay (Community Development Coordinator)

The Shire, in collaboration with the Wannamal Community Centre, have been successful in securing a Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) Small Grant for the redevelopment of the Wannamal Tennis Courts.

The existing court surface was laid in 1998, surviving 23 years of wear and tear.  This is well beyond the normal life expectancy of courts and is testament to the Wannamal Community Centre management of the facility.

The total project is expected to cost $169, 215.

  • Shire contribution $126,780
  • Wannamal Community Centre $20,000 (+ in-kind volunteer labour to the value of $2010)
  • CSRFF Small Grant $20,425

This project is funded within the 2021/2022 budget.

Project construction commenced on 29 July 2022.
