The Shire of Chittering would like to recognise – and more importantly – Thank all of the businesses and organisations who have so generously donated to our annual Rates Incentive Prize Draw.

Our prize draw would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and we would like to express our gratitude for their valued support.  A complete list of our sponsors and the generous prizes that they have donated, can be found below. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General Terms and Conditions

The Rates Prize Draw is open to all commercial and residential property owners of the Shire of Chittering who pay their rates in full by the first due date using any payment method. Government organisations and their related agencies are ineligible as are rate exempt assessments.

Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

The date paid must be verifiable by electronic lodgement date (BPay, BPoint), or receipt date. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected payments.

One entry per property assessment. A maximum of one prize per rate assessment in any one Rates Prize Draw Competition.

The Shire will not enter into any negotiation between property owners in the event that multiple property owners are the recipients of a prize.

The competition commences as at the Issue Date of the annual rate notice.

Prizes will be drawn by random computer selection of eligible assessments identified by Council’s property and rating system within 14 days of the first due date at the Shire of Chittering office in the presence of a minimum of two non-eligible witnesses, and are randomly matched to a prize.

The Shires’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of the selected sponsors and/or winners.

The Shire will advertise the first names only of winners on the Shire of Chittering website and other media within seven (7) days of the draw or from the date winners were notified.

Sponsors are entitled to stipulate their own terms and conditions. The Shire of Chittering accepts no responsibility or involvement in such discussions.

The Shire of Chittering will not be liable for any delivery, travel or other postage costs associated with claiming a prize greater than mailing a DL size standard letter. No liability will be accepted for any loss, damage or injury sustained as a result of taking a prize or entering into this competition.

The Shire of Chittering makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes.

The Shire shall not be liable for any changes in the value of a prize occurring between the date of printing and the date the prize is redeemed.

Winners may be required to provide photographic identification to claim their prize.

Winners will be notified using the information contained on the rate record. It is ratepayer responsibility to ensure their information is up to date and contact details are current.

Sponsor Specific Terms and Conditions

1. Shire of Chittering Cash Prize must be collected before 30 June 2027. The winner must provide banking and other details in accordance with Shire of Chittering Vendor procedure.
2. Watertorque – the prize must be collected in person, or the prize winner is responsible for all postage and delivery costs. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash. The prize may be altered to a similar valued item at our discretion and subject to prize availability.
3. Dynamic Group Communications & Electrical - the prize is a selection of ONE option from five options provided.
4. Chittering Pest and Weed - The prize applies to residential dwellings only. It excludes timber inspections and termite treatments.
5. Shabo Studio - Prize is subject to Shabo Studio Terms and Conditions. Voucher to be registered prior to 1 November 2026.
