Bindoon Town and Tourism Precinct Planning Project

The Bindoon Town and Tourism Precinct Project is a master planning project funded under Stream One (Precinct Development and Planning) of the Australian Government's Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program (rPPP). Although the project is titled “precinct”, it is actually a townsite plan, identifying smaller projects which add to existing infrastructure, and contribute to a larger scope which will better support the community going forward.

Unlike previous planning initiatives, significant grant funding of almost $700,000 will allow us to turn plans into concrete projects with detailed designs, business cases, surveys and approvals which will enable the development of competitive third-party grant submissions to complete the construction phases.

The plans will be developed in a co-design process, facilitated by specialist urban and community design consultants, and providing opportunity for businesses, clubs, committees, schools and residents to bring their ideas to the table.

By planning now, we can make sure Bindoon grows in a way that supports people of all ages, strengthens community connections and creates a town future generations will be proud to call home.
