eRates Sign Up

To apply to receive your rate notice via email please complete the details below.  On completion of this form, the Shire will receive an email verifying your details and will register you to receive your rate notice by email.

Please read before applying.
  • You must be the registered owner of the property to apply for eRates.
  • Only one email address can be used per property assessment.
  • If a property has multiple owners and more than one owner registers for electronic notices, the system will default to the email address of the most recently registered owner.
  • Please submit a separate form for each property you wish to register for eRates.
  • The registration process will automatically close 14 days before the rates notice issue date.
  • If your registration is not received in time for the next notice, your rates notice will be sent by post.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. By registering for eRates, you agree to receive your annual rate notice via email and understand no paper copy will be sent. If you request another copy from the Shire, a fee may apply.
2. Ensure the Shire has your current postal address on file. Only the annual rate notice will be sent by email; all other communication, including Instalment Notices, Interim Rate Notices, and Final Notices, will be sent by post.
3. Eligibility:
  • You must be the registered owner of the property to register for eRates.
  • Only one email address can be used per property assessment.
  • If multiple owners register, the most recently registered email address will receive the notice.
  • The email address provided must belong to the registered owner, not a third party.
  • If you own more than one property, you must register separately for each property and will receive individual email notifications for each registration.
4. Email Management:
  • It is your responsibility to regularly check your nominated email, including junk/spam folders, for rate notices.
  • If you change your eRates email address or postal address, you are required to notify the Shire of Chittering immediately by filling out the Change of Details form or emailing chatter@chittering.wa.gov.au 
5. Notice of Service:
  • Rate notices are deemed served when they reach your internet service provider, whether or not you have opened or read the email.
  • Should the Shire receive an electronic delivery failure notification from your email address, your registration will be cancelled, and a paper notice will be issued to your last known postal address.
6. Cancellation:
  • You can withdraw your request for email delivery of your rate notice at any time by emailing "Unsubscribe" to rates@chittering.wa.gov.au.
  • If the registration has not been received in time for the next notice, you will automatically receive your rate notice by post.
7. Multiple Properties:
  • If you own more than one property, a separate registration form must be completed for each property you wish to register for eRates. Separate email notifications will be sent for each registration received.
