Waste Collection
Avon Waste is the local contractor for waste collection. For more information about collections please visit the Chittering page on the Avon Waste website.
General Rubbish Bin waste (red lid) is collected weekly.
Recycled Rubbish Bin waste (yellow lid) is collected fortnightly.

Fees and Charges
In accordance with Section 67 of the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007 an annual charge will be imposed on your Rates Notice for this service.
The current fees and charges are available for this financial year here.
Wheelie bin towing brackets are available for purchase for those residents with longer or steep driveways from the Shire administration or from Avon Waste.
Non-Compulsory Collection Areas
Residents who do not live within a compulsory collection area are entitled to take the equivalent of 2 x 240L bins per week to one of the landfill sites in Muchea or Bindoon. In some cases, a waste collection service can be arranged outside of the compulsory collection area however this may be subject to additional fees.
