Shire President, Cr Gordon Houston is pleased to announce that following its consideration of candidates from a well qualified, competent, and experienced field of applicants, the Shire of Chittering Council voted unanimously at a Special a Meeting last night to appoint Mr Matthew Gilfellon as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 01 July 2019.
Mr Gilfellon is an experienced and well-respected local government CEO, being the current CEO for the Shire of Dumbleyung, and prior to that, he held the same position at the Shire of Mt Marshall. He is very well qualified for this leadership position, having completed a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies. He thus brings to the office an excellent balance of qualifications and experience.
The Council and staff of the Shire of Chittering welcome Matthew and his family to the district and look forward to him commencing his duties in July.
