The Shire of Chittering resolved at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 15 February 2017 to adopt the Shire of Chittering Waste Local Law 2017.
The purpose of the Shire of Chittering Waste Local Law 2017 is to regulate the storage, collection and disposal of waste and recyclable materials in the Shire of Chittering. The effect of the Shire of Chittering Health Local Law 2017 is to allow the control of storage, collection and disposal of waste and recyclable materials for the benefit of the community and protection of the environment.

The Shire of Chittering Waste Local Law 2017 was published in the Government Gazette #63 on Thursday, 23 March 2017, and will come into operation on Thursday, 6 April 2017.
