Local Sustainable Living Group

Saturday 22nd June 2024
(Multiple Dates Between Saturday 22nd June 2024 & Saturday 23rd November 2024)

Share knowledge and skills for Sustainable Living in the 21st century.

This is a FREE EVENT for like-minded souls. The first meeting will be on the 23rd of  March 2024. From 9.30-11.30 at the Bindoon Public Library. Initially organised and hosted by Sandy Wessley

The Definition of Sustainable living: describes a lifestyle that attempts to reduce the use of Earth's natural resources by an individual or society. Its practitioners often attempt to reduce their ecological footprint by altering their home designs and methods of transportation, energy consumption, food production and diet.

The topics for each month in 2024 will be discussed and decided at the first meeting by those attending. This could be anything from;  food production, healthy soils, seed collection, Permaculture systems, regenerative farming, living in rural communities, bush fire readiness, sustainability in the home, waste management etc. The subjects would depend on what people are wanting to learn and skills or knowledge someone has to share.

At each monthly meeting, participants choose to come along to share, discuss and listen to that month's subject.

We will encourage all participants to openly share knowledge and skills and participate in a friendly and informal environment.

Those wishing to attend the first meeting please contact Sandy mb: 0427744721 to book your place. Numbers are limited to 20 for each month. If you can’t attend the first meeting and would like to be on the mailing list for future group meetings please phone Sandy.
