Project Officer Engineer (Roads Construction)

  • Permanent Full Time Position
  • Pay rate $80 000 - $90 000 Per Annum
  • 10.5% Guaranteed superannuation plus up to an additional 6% matching employer contribution
  • 20 days annual leave (pro-rata) and 2 days Public Service Leave

About the Position
We are seeking a Project Officer Engineer (Roads Construction) to plan, program and deliver capital works for the Shire’s Roads, bridges, drainage, paths and other infrastructure assets efficiently and effectively to the required standard through strong leadership. Project and contract management in the construction of Council assets. Infrastructure inspection, data collection, entry of new data into GIS and Asset Management Systems, provision of small construction plans and field inspections related to traffic matters, Road works, drainage works and footpath issues. Engineering investigations including liaison with various stakeholders on different engineering matters.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have exceptional organisational skills, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills while modelling a can-do attitude and is a collaborative team player. The successful candidate will have (although not limited to): 

  • A Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Civil), Surveying or equivalent (minimum) and or 5 years’ experience as Civil Project Manager.
  • Hold a current ‘C’ class drivers licence or higher.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety.
  • The right to live and work in Australia and a National Police Clearance.
