Fun & Futures: Career Series Launch
Fun & Futures: Career Series Launch is a joint event that brings together physical activity and future-focused opportunities for young people aged 10–25 years.
The event combines Ninja Academy obstacle course sessions with the official launch of a new year-long Career Series program (2026–2027). This program is designed to help young people build skills, confidence and connections with local industries in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment.
Throughout the day, participants can book into Ninja Academy sessions and also attend the Career Series Launch, which will be the first opportunity to learn about the program and sign up.
Food trucks will be available all day, making it a welcoming and social community event for young people and families.
What’s happening on the day?
The event includes two key activities:
Ninja Academy Sessions Thursday 16 April (10:00am – 4:00pm)
- Hourly Ninja Academy obstacle course sessions available throughout the day
- Cost is $5 per session
- Younger children are encouraged to attend in the morning, with teenagers in the afternoon
- Sessions focus on fun, physical activity and confidence-building
- Food trucks will be available for lunch and snacks
Career Series Launch (12:30pm – 1:30pm)
Includes a FREE lunch for participants
- A short introduction to the new year-long Career Series program
- Opportunity for young people (and parents) to register their interest and sign up
- Learn about upcoming sessions, skill-building activities and local career pathways
- Parents and carers are welcome to attend
About the Career Series Program
The Career Series program will run across 2026–2027 and aims to support young people to:
- Build confidence and life skills
- Explore different career pathways
- Connect with local industries and mentors
- Participate in hands-on workshops and activities
- Prepare for future education, training and employment
The launch event is the first step in introducing this program to the community.
This event is open to young people aged 10–25 years, with parents and carers welcome to attend the Career Series Launch session.
