The Shire is in receipt of an Application for Development Approval for a proposed restaurant (single storey bakery) at the above mentioned address, which is land owned by the Shire of Chittering. The bakery is to be known as the ‘Bindoon Bakehaus’ and seeks approval for the construction of a 538m2 commercial bakery including a retail café, a commercial kitchen, production facilities and associated site works. This proposal is to relocate the existing 'Bindoon Bakehaus' located along Binda Place.
The overall site will be approximately 1723m2 in size, to allow for sufficient parking and general facilities for the proposed bakery. Some key components of this site are:
• Parking – A total of 16 bays are proposed. A designated ‘staff parking’ area and a bike rack are included in this proposal. No street parking is proposed for this application.
• Service Vehicles – A dedicated loading zone is provided for delivery trucks, isolated from customer traffic. Access is via a driveway from Woolah Rise.
• Landscaping - Rendered planters are integrated into the building design and site plan to soften the hardstand areas and provide an aesthetic buffer between the driveway and seating.
• Building Materials – The building is proposed to be built out of a combination of Colorbond and Lysaght Klip-Lok sheeting is proposed. Signage is integrated into the façade design.
The proposed restaurant proposes the following operating days and times:
• Monday – Saturday: 07:00 – 16:00; and
• Sunday & Public Holidays: 08:00 – 16:00.
