Adoption of Local Law - Cats Amendment Local Law 2016

The Shire of Chittering resolved at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 17 August 2016 to adopt the Cats Amendment Local Law 2016.

The purpose of the local law is to provide Council with measures in addition to those under the Cat Act 2011 to control the keeping of cats. The effect of the local law is to control the number of cats that can be kept and places where cats can be kept.

The Cats Amendment Local Law 2016 was published in the Government Gazette #155 on 30 August 2016, and will come into operation on 14 September 2016.
