OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT - The Shire of Chittering Extractive Industries Local Law 2026


The Local Government Act 1995 s3.12, requires the Shire of Chittering to give public notice of the intent to enact the Extractive Industries Local Law 2026.

The purpose of the proposed Extractive Industries Local Law 2026 is to provide for the regulation, control and management of extractive industries within the district.

The effect of the proposed Extractive Industries Local Law 2026 is to repeal and replace the Shire of Chittering Extractive Industries Local Law 2014 and provide an updated local law framework for the regulation, control and management of extractive industries within the district.

A copy of the proposed local law may be inspected at or obtained from the Shire's offices at 6177 Great Northern Hwy, Bindoon, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, or can be viewed online:-

Any submissions about the proposed Local Law should be made in writing to the attention of Anna Bateman, Governance Officer.
