The Shire of Chittering has suspended the Restricted Burning Time from the usual date of 1 October. This year it will commence on 8 October 2025.
Residents in the Shire of Chittering can continue to burn without a permit until the last day being 7 October 2025. All fires must be fully extinguished before midnight.
After this time, all burning within the Shire of Chittering will require a valid Permit to Burn.
Please note, some Fire Control Officers have changed since the previous season. Only those listed are Authorised Officers. Previous officers not listed are no longer able to issue permits.
To obtain a permit, please contact your local Fire Control Officer.
