Eco printing with Derrin Cramer at One Green Sheep

Join the Northern Valley’s Art Group, for a fun day excursion workshop learning new skills and techniques, in the wonderful world of eco printing. Once you have grasped the foundations of this process, your creative journey will be limited only by your imagination. You will be able to produce beautiful paper and fabric, imprinted with botanical designs.

In this workshop, you will get the opportunity to use leaves and other plant materials, from the local environment. You will learn the difference of using the top or bottom of leaves, and how using a modifier blanket can change results. You will get to experience, boiling and steaming, and will make samples on both silk and paper including dyeing a silk scarf, to take home with you to take home.

Please bring any leaves, flowers and plant materials you would like to experiment with - Eucalypts and Grevilleas both work well – but there will be plenty of leaves available from the local environment. Bring a metal can approx 400g size and wear old clothes, and/or an apron that protects your chest.

Meet us there or speak with the coordinator about car pooling
