PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2005, LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION, LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME NO. 6

PROPOSED SCHEME AMENDMENT NO. 75; LOT 1, 99 AND 720 SANTA GERTRUDIS DRIVE, LOWER CHITTERING

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Chittering has initiated Scheme Amendment No. 75 to Local Planning Scheme No. 6 for the purpose of public advertising.

The Amendment proposes to:
1. Introduce a new Private Community Purposes Zone to Local Planning Scheme No. 6;
2. Amend the Scheme Text to introduce development provisions applying to land zoned Private Community Purposes;
3. Introduce a new Schedule 14 containing site-specific development requirements for Lots 1 and 99 Santa Gertrudis Drive and Lot 720 Zebu Road, Lower Chittering; and
4. Rezone Lots 1 and 99 Santa Gertrudis Drive and Lot 720 Zebu Road, Lower Chittering from Rural Residential, Parks and Recreation Reserve and Public Purpose Reserve to Private Community Purposes.

The proposed amendment is intended to provide an appropriate planning framework for the future development and expansion of the educational and community facilities associated with Immaculate Heart College in Lower Chittering.

Documents explaining the proposed amendment are available for inspection here and at the Shire Administration Centre, 6177 Great Northern Highway, Bindoon, during normal business hours.

Submissions on the proposed amendment may be made in writing and should include the amendment number, property affected and details of the submission. Submissions must be lodged with the undersigned on or before 23 November 2026.
