The Shire of Chittering winter unrestricted burning time commences on Thursday, 1 June 2023.

A Permit to Burn on your property is not required from Thursday, 1 June 2023.
For the protection of the community, please take care when carrying out any burning activity.
Please minimise smoke nuisance to neighbours by not burning green or wet vegetation. General rubbish and waste must not be burnt at any time.
Ensure the wind direction does not cause smoke to drift over roads causing a hazard to passing traffic.
It is an offence to cause a smoke nuisance to persons and to cause pollution with excessive smoke.
