The Restricted Burning Time commences on 1 April 2023. From this date, all burning within the Shire of Chittering will require a permit.
Please note that permits are subject to conditions. A Fire Control Officer may refuse to give you a permit if the conditions are not suitable.
Further to this, please note that burning is prohibited on any day when:
- The fire danger index reaches HIGH, EXTREME or CATASTROPHIC
- A Total Fire Ban has been declared
