The Narrow Leaf Cotton Bush is a slender short-lived shrub which is one to two metres high. This shrub contains cardiac glycoside which is toxic to humans and livestock. The bush’s unpalatable tastes means it is not normally eaten by livestock however it is known to cause problems such as contaminant of hay or chaff. If contamination occurs symptoms include severe gastroenteritis which shows up as severe congestion of the alimentary canal.

We currently run a diverse fleet consisting of 12 light vehicles, 7 trucks, 17 fire vehicles and various heavy plant, trailers and miscellaneous sundry plant. We are looking for a qualified mechanic who can assist with all log book servicing, breakdown and repair requirements.

The Shire's Economic Development Strategy 2021-2031 has been endorsed by Council in the August Ordinary Council Meeting. The document is intended to consolidate a multitude of existing active Shire strategies and plans that sit within the sphere of Economic Development. Each of those plans were developed in consultation with the community and, where appropriate, these goals and actions retained. Further consultation was undertaken to ensure needs and goals are still relevant, and to allow for the introduction of new ideas, which have also been incorporated into the strategy.
