LCYCH Community Feedback Survey

The Lower Chittering Youth and Community Hub (LCYCH) is a 130m2 modular construction consisting of a community hall, two breakout rooms, a commercial kitchen, amenities, and landscaping. The Hub will be available for use by all members of the community and can be booked through the Shire’s Facility Booking platform. It is intended that the Hub will be used for youth activities and an art hub. Timeline to completion – 12 months.

Due to the large capital investment required for the Lower Chittering Community Centre, which may take an extended period to secure, the project has been placed on hold until funding can be sourced.  Until then, the Shire has acknowledged there is demand for community services that continues to go unmet. By staging the approach and delivering a smaller but equally contemporary and usable space, the community can begin realising the benefits almost immediately.

To progress this, Shire has recently created a draft design for the delivery of the smaller scale LCYCH to provide initial facilities for community connection and recreation in Lower Chittering. Council is now seeking community feedback on the proposed design and inclusions of the LCYCH.
