Walk Trails
Chittering Trails Network (Shire or DPAW managed trails)
- Bindoon Tale Trail: Clune Park (cnr Gray Road and Great Northern Highway, Bindoon) - an 1,800m loop trail through the Bindoon townsite that shares community stories.
- Blackboy Ridge: Chittering Road (opposite property 3232) - a 1.5km walk to a lookout with stunning views, picnic area and toilets at the trailhead.
- Carty Reserve: Great Northern Hwy, 8km South of Bindoon - a 600m return walk through recently rehabilitated land.
- Lake Needonga Trail: Edmonds Place to Clune Road, Bindoon - a 600m lakeside walk... if you park at the Bakehaus you can make it 1200m return.
- Stonehouse Trail: Clune Road (off Gray Road), Bindoon - a 2km lakeside walk... 4km return. Facilities at Clune Park.
- Spoonbill Lake: off Hart Drive, Upper Chittering - pleasant picnic area and wide 1,600m return walk along the lake.
- Wannamal Heritage Trail: Rest Area, Bindoon-Moora Road, a 75 minute loop walk, highlighting historical sites. *Please note site 26 "The Bridge" is currently not passable due to storm damage, please follow the diversion directions on the trail.

- Peace Be Still: 1324 Chittering Valley Road - a number of trails, Avon Valley Walk Trail (7.1km), Valley Views (9.6km), Out & Back (6.5km) plus many more.
Peace Be Still
- Kyotmunga Trail: starting from Yozzi Road, off Chittering Road. The trail meanders through an orange orchard (walkers please avoid damaging surrounding private property) through to the Avon Valley National Park. Walkers can follow the trail through the National Park for as long as they are able, or they can continue on to finish at Peace Be Still on Chittering Road.
- Camino Salvado Pilgrim Trail: starting from Salvado Road in Subiaco, where St Joseph's Church is found, to New Norcia. The trail is approximately 145kms long and travels through the City’s financial district, past places of historical interest and out of the metropolitan area via the beautiful Swan river foreshore. It travels via Bells rapids, where the white water Avon descent passes and into Walyunga National Park, a place of spiritual significance for the Noongyar People. Day three of the walk takes the walkers through the Chittering Valley via Shady Hills View, and the walkers stay overnight in the region. On day four the walkers head into Bindoon and again stay overnight in the region. On days five and six the walkers leave Bindoon and walk towards New Norcia. - A Sea of Flowers - experience wildflowers through touch, sight and smell at 10 sites scattered throughout the region, Chittering offers its Annual Wildflower Festival and a number of walk trails.
- Getting Back to Nature - discover the natural environment that is unique to the wheatbelt, Chittering boasts Peace Be Still (walk trails), Julimar Lookout, Blackboy Ridge (walk trails, toilet facilities, picnic area) and Spoonbill Lake (picnic area). COMING SOON - Carty Reserve Walk
- From Paddock to Plate - learn about the history of the development of the region and its unique lifestyle while sampling some fresh and tasty produce, in Chittering you can visit Golden Grove Citrus Orchard, Kyotmunga Estate, Stringybark Winery and Restaurant, White Dog Farm, Burroloo Well, Apricot Acres Farm, Bindoon Bakehaus, Bite Cafe, Briery Estate and the Scottalian Hotel.
Art and Heritage - find that unique 'something' and explore a little history of the region, Chittering is proud to share with you the Brockman Centre (home to Bindoon Arts and Crafts, Bindoon Heritage Museum and the Men's Shed), Holy Trinity Church, the (ever-expanding) Sculpture Trail, the Catholic Agricultural College and the Wannamal Heritage Walk Trail.
