Upper Chittering Fire Station Hard Stand Installation

Project Overview

Currently the Upper Chittering Fire Brigade are required to reverse their truck up to a tank to fill up with water. To overcome this hazard, it has been recommended that a hard stand and water hydrant be installed at the fire station to allow the trucks to drive through, refill and drive away enabling quick and safe loading for the volunteers. 

These works have been funded by Council as part of the 2020-21 Annual Budget. 

This project commenced in December 2020. These works will be undertake by the Shire's building maintenance team, the volunteer fire brigade and local contractors.
