Tourist Bureau Renovation Works

Project Overview

As part of the budget process for the 2020-21 Annual Budget, Council decided that the operation of the Tourist Centre would be taken back over by the Shire. As part of this process, the current building required a divisional wall to be installed to allow for the two businesses to operate independently. This will create a better functioning building and a more pleasant surroundings for visitors.

Works on this project commenced by our team in September 2020. During the first stages of this project, the Post Office remained open, whilst the Visitor Centre was temporarily closed.  The divisional wall was installed along with the new auto door to the Post Office. The Visitors Centre was then reopened to the public as our team undertook some finishing works within the new space. These works completed the separation of the two businesses. Works were completed in November 2020.

This project coincided with the completion of some landscaping works at the front of the building and the Shire resuming operations within the Visitor Centre into the future.
