Archibald Street - Road Reconstruction - 2020/21

Project Overview

This project continued on from the reconstruction works undertaken in 2019/20.

The project took place from SLK 1.03 - 1.46.

The existing road surface was uneven and required renewal of the pavement and wearing surfaces. Renewal of the road surface was undertaken by 200mm wet mixing of pavement and laying of 30mm asphalt seal.

Works on this project commenced in January 2021 and were undertaken in conjunction with other road projects in the Shire as part of our asset preservation program. These works involved drainage works, tree pruning, installation of kerbing and road reconstruction, continuing on from the previous year's project. Works were completed in May 2021.

These works have been partly funded by Council ($63,079) and Roads to Recovery Funding ($99,609).

The Roads to Recovery program supports the maintenance of the nation's local road infrastructure assets, which facilitates greater access for Australians and improves safety and economic and social outcomes. This is a federally funded project and is 100% funded by the Federal Government.
