The Shire of Chittering has commenced bridge reconstruction works on Chittering Road, south of Julimar Road and north of Chittering Valley Road.
These works have resulted in the closure of a section of Chittering Road (between Julimar Road and Chittering Valley Road), with access only for authorised vehicles.
A detour is in place via Blue Plains Road to the north and Muchea East Road to the south. The section of road where the bridge is located is not passable to traffic.
Traffic management is in place for the duration of these works. Please obey road closure and warning signage.
The Shire of Chittering apologises for the inconvenience this will cause for many road users and residents on the detour but we envisage that work will be completed as soon as possible; and that the benefits will far outweigh the temporary inconvenience by keeping the road safe for all traffic.
