The Restricted Burning Time commences on 1 October 2020. From this date, all burning within the Shire of Chittering will require a permit.
To obtain a permit, please contact your local Fire Control Officer, details of which are in the Firebreak & Bushfire Hazard Reduction Notice 2020/21.
Please note that some Fire Control Officers have changed from the previous season. Those listed below are the current Authorised Officers, previous Authorised Officers not listed are no longer able to give permits.
Further to this, please note that burning is prohibited on any day when:
- The fire danger index reaches VERY HIGH, SEVERE, EXTREME or CATASTROPHIC
- A Total Fire Ban has been declared
