The Shire of Chittering is looking to hear from local businesses that are interested in providing Mechanical Services under a contract agreement. We currently run a diverse fleet consisting of 12 light vehicles, 7 trucks, 17 fire vehicles and various heavy plant, trailers and miscellaneous sundry plant. We are looking for a qualified mechanic who can assist with all log book servicing, breakdown and repair requirements.
Ideally, availability one day per week to undertake routine maintenance and then ability to attend to call outs and breakdown as a priority when required would be best suited to our operations. Monthly and annual safety inspections of all fleet assets would also need to be captured in the scope of works. Works can be undertaken at either a local business premise or at the Shire depot in Bindoon. This opportunity would suit a local mobile mechanic looking to secure a 24 month contract for potentially 12 hours work or more per week.
The Shire is looking to engage in a contract for a set monthly fee, with a set number of hours allocated over the contract period. Unallocated hours should accumulate for use in busier months.
