We wish to advise that the Shire of Chittering has made the difficult decision to defer the bridge works, that we recently advertised, until November 2022.
This decision has not been made lightly and has been made based on several factors beyond our control. Some of these include:- recent weather events, increasing COVID related risks and delays from external contractors for service relocations.
Consequently, the proposed bridge reconstruction and road closure will be postponed until a more suitable time later in the year, when we hope that the weather conditions will be more favourable.
At this time, and with weather permitting, it is envisaged that our team will reassess the site in October 2022 to program works for the summer months as the water level onsite reduces.
We will advertise the planned commencement of the project later in the year - once a program is confirmed for these upgrades. We apologise for the inconvenience this delay may cause but feel that it is the most suitable option, at this time for all concerned.
