Feedback is sought from the community on the newly adopted Verge Policy. Due to the extensive quantity of verges within the Shire, it is impractical for the Shire to assign the level of resources that would be required to maintain all of the verges – without it impacting on rates.

Taste of Chittering 2022 Program announcement

The Restricted Burning Time commences on 1 April 2022. From this date, all burning within the Shire of Chittering will require a permit.

This year was the first year that the Shire of Chittering held its ever popular Australia Day event in Lower Chittering. With favourable weather conditions, a beautiful morning was enjoyed by everyone who joined us to celebrate the Shire of Chittering’s Australia Day breakfast and festivities.
