The Shire of Chittering resolved at the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 15 February 2017 to adopt the Shire of Chittering Health Local Law 2017.
The purpose of the Shire of Chittering Health Local Law 2017 is to provide a statutory means of effectively controlling issues which have the potential to adversely impact on the health and well-being of the community. The effect of the Shire of Chittering Health Local Law 2017 is to allow health related issues in the Shire of Chittering to be sufficiently controlled so as to provide an acceptable standard for the maintenance of public health in the community.

The Shire of Chittering Health Local Law 2017 was published in the Government Gazette #63 on Thursday, 23 March 2017, and will come into operation on Thursday, 6 April 2017.
