Council at its meeting held on 17 September 2014 resolved to adopt the Shire of Chittering Extractive Industries Local Law 2014.
The purpose of the local law is establish requirements and conditions which extractive industries, within the district, must comply.
The effect of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of extractive industries.

This Local Law was gazetted on Friday, 24 October 2014 and will come into operation of Monday, 10 November 2014.
