The Wannamal Community Centre will hold a belated celebration of Australia Day as a number of local farmers, truck drivers, and partners will be absent as they deliver hay to Cobar, NSW.
This is for the 'Farmers Across Borders - Hay from WA' and the road trains will arrive on Australia Day with feed to assist drought affected farmers. This project has been strongly supported by local farmers, contractors, community groups, and individual donations from the Wannamal District.
