Community Facilities Officer

  • Permanent Full-time Position (76 hours per fortnight)
  • Salary range $59 864.62 – $71 837.55 (pro-rata) per annum [higher rate based on salary progression opportunities] (Level 6)
  • 11% Guaranteed superannuation plus up to an additional 6% matching employer contribution
  • 20 days annual leave (pro-rata) and 2 days Public Service Leave

About the Position
The Shire of Chittering is seeking a Community Facilities Officer to proactively oversee and lead the planning and operations of the Shire’s community facilities to ensure they are managed in an innovative, efficient, and sustainable manner.  You will be required to deliver improved customer experiences and efficiencies across the Shire’s community facilities and provide strategic oversight to ensure the Shire offers a range of community facilities that meet the current and future needs of the community. 

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have exceptional organisational skills, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills while modelling a can-do attitude and be a collaborative team player. The successful candidate will have (although not limited to):

  • Tertiary qualification in or completion of/or studying towards the attainment of a Sports Management or Recreation qualification, and/or equivalent significant relevant experience
  • Advanced skills in professionally written and oral communications
  • Highly developed skills in use of relevant software programs, digital tools and social media
  • Current “C” class Driver’s licence
  • The right to live and work in Australia and a National Police Clearance
