The Shire of Chittering is in receipt of an Application for Development Approval for an extractive industry for the purposes of sand extraction at the above property.

Equipment

Excavation works will utilise front-end loaders, excavators, and bulldozers to remove
topsoil, overburden, and sand material.
To minimise visual impact, equipment and machinery will be operated primarily from the pit floor. No on-site processing or value-adding will occur; extracted material will either be stockpiled in low dumps or directly transported to off-site facilities, such as the Tiwest mineral sands processing plant in Muchea.

Truck Movements
|
Approximately 20 truck movements per day on average, with up to 40 truck movements at peak operating periods.

Access
|
Access is proposed to travel east along Teatree Road from the subject site to Great Northern Highway.

WORKFORCE
|

Hours of Operation
|
6:00am to 6:00pm Monday-Friday;
7:30am to 5:00pm Saturdays; and
No operations on Sundays or public holidays.
