Awards

The Shire of Chittering Council is appreciative of the contributions that our local residents and organisations make in creating an exciting and caring community. To recognise our resident's Council conducts an annual Australia Day Awards Ceremony.

In the case of a truly outstanding contribution by an individual it may confer the title of Honorary Freeman.

The Shire of Chittering places a very high value on young people being well educated, as well as being a part of their school and local community, and recognises the positive impact that education has on the wider community. Each year the Shire of Chittering budgets for two Education Scholarships of $1,000 each for two local students.
