Community Assistance Grants and Sponsorship (CAGS)
Each year Council allocates funds to various ‘not-for-profit’ organisations which operate within the Shire. This funding is separated in to two different categories and is designed to provide benefits to Shire residents through recreational, sporting, social or cultural means.
- Community Assistance Grants: Funding towards infrastructure and equipment.
- Sponsorship: Funding towards events and projects, annual or one-off.

Round 2 of the 23/24 CAGS Applications are now open.
Please keep in mind that you may need to have the following available and ready to submit with your application:
- Quotes for any budget items over $500
- Budget breakdown. Please click on this link to access a template.
- Public Liability Insurance (all events)
- Current Financial Statement (requests over $1000)
- Statement by Supplier (If you do not have an ABN)

Annual Events - 3 Year Event Applications
Limited, identified organisations who hold annual events in the Shire of Chittering, may be eligible to receive an approved 3 year allocation of funding. Shire staff will contact these organisations directly. If you have not been contacted and believe you may be eligible, please contact Natalie Van Rooyen directly to discuss your event.
KidSport Funding

Before applying for any grant, make sure you read the guidelines. We also recommend that you to speak to the contact person to find out whether your project is eligible.

Healthway encourages applications that address our high priority health areas and target groups. Priority areas include tobacco smoking control, physical activity, healthy nutrition, mental health and indigenous health, while target groups include children and youth, indigenous populations, rural and remote communities and those in whom health inequalities exist.
