Fees and Charges

In accordance with Section 67 of the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007 and annual charge will be imposed on your Rates Notice for this service.  The annual cost of the service will be $310 per annum.

Each additional service will attract the following charges:

  • additional rubbish bin             $170 per annum
  • additional recycling bin           $140 per annum

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE FEES WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO VACANT LAND

Wheelie bin towing brackets are available for purchase for those residents with longer or steep driveways from the Shire.

Compulsory Collection Areas

It was necessary to introduce a compulsory service to ensure sufficient numbers were reached so that the service would be economically sustainable and more affordable for all.  Households or businesses within the 'compulsory area' will automatically receive a red-lidded household waste bin and a yellow-lidded recycling bin.

Non-Compulsory Collection Areas

Residents not living in a compulsory area or on the designated collection route can apply for a service.  Subject to the location request there may be an additional fee of $2 per km from the nearest compulsory collection point.
