ENJOY A TASTE* OF CHITTERING!  *Taste (verb) – to have or get a (slight) experience of…

Sip… this year the “wine nook” will be home to four local wineries plus you will be able to sample some ale from our neighbours at New Norcia.  Talking beer, catch up with the owners of the new proposed local micro-brewery.

Shop… at the amazing array of market stalls, most of them are local and all of them are unique.  This year there are over sixty covering home, garden, health, produce, nature, art, craft and gifts… with (of course) a strong “fruit and flowers” theme in celebration of Taste of Chittering’s fourth anniversary.

Savour… something scrumptious in the open air, with a dozen different choices, including the Bindoon Bakehaus, CWA Chitteringshire Teas, coffee, ice cream, cold drinks, gourmet burgers, paella, sizzled sausages, café fare and more.  Make sure you’re up near the stage at 11.30am where you’ll see our guest “Chef Explorer” share his picnic packing skills with one lucky visitor getting to take away the hamper!

Enjoy… one, or all, of the free activities.  Baby farm animals, local native animals, balloon twisting, bubbleology, airbrush tattoos, mini-golf, worm farm demo (with takeaways!) and the brand new pop-up pump track (byo bike).  And there’s a new angle on the photo booth this year…

The Shire of Chittering, as the event facilitator, would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the financial sponsorship received from Lotterywest, TRONOX and the Office of Road Safety.  Grateful thanks also go to ACE Electrical, Avon Waste, BEAT, Chittering Youth Krew, CLP Photography, Fun Airbrush Tattoos, Menu Magazine, Northern Valleys News, N&M Russell Plumbing & Gas, Orchard Glory Farm Resort and Three Chillies Design for their support.  And without the many invaluable hours donated by volunteers, from near and far, the Shire wouldn’t be able to continue hosting this amazing local showcase.
