Community clean-up tackles road side litter

The Chittering Community Planning and Action Group (CCPAG) plan on getting their hands dirty on Sunday 21 August 2016 for a roadside clean up on Crest Hill Road, Bindoon.  This working group of Council is made up of representatives of several Community and Sporting organisations within the Shire of Chittering.

CCPAG are following the lead of a few diligent residents across the Shire who already do their part in protecting our Shire’s environment by maintaining their road verges under the Keep Australia Beautiful Campaign – Adopt a Spot Program.

CCPAG members are passionate about our beautiful town and are doing this project in an attempt to show how easy it is for any community member to get involved and do their bit to ensure that we don’t have rubbish lying around our streets.

If you are interested in the Adopt a Spot Program and would like to find out more information visit www.kabc.wa.gov.au, call 6467 5122 or email adoptaspot@kabc.wa.gov.au.

If you are interested in starting an adopt a spot on your street but feel that you need a little more manpower to do a roadside cleanup contact CCPAG via Lisa Kay, Community and Club Development Officer at the Shire on 9576 4600 or chatter@chittering.wa.gov.au
