Find out about what is involved in becoming a Councillor by 
attending the information session

If you want to make a difference in your community and have a say in local decision making, then consider becoming a candidate in the Local Government Election to be held on Saturday, 21 October 2017.

All candidates must be enrolled to vote by 1 September 2017, with nominations for the election open on Thursday, 7 September 2017 and they close at 4pm on Thursday, 14 September 2017.

A free candidate information session to assist with any queries regarding your nomination will be held on Tuesday, 22 August 2017 commencing at 6pm in the Council Chambers, 6177 Great Northern Highway, Bindoon.  This session will provide candidates with the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Shire of Chittering, the Western Australian Electoral Commission and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

Registration is recommended but not essential.  To register please contact Executive Support Services on 9576 4600.
