Bindoon gained a 5 Star rating under the Keep Australia Beautifical Council competition in 2000. Other awards include winners in Category A, Tip Top Tip in 2000 and Chairperson award to Peter Stonehouse The committee and community undertake regular clean ups on road verges and Great Northern Hwy. Active particpiation by all sectors of the community including school children in clean ups and beautification (plantings) projects in Bindoon.
