The Shire of Chittering has registered with the Department of Sport and Recreation to enable eligible families to access financial support to cover club membership fees for their children; getting more children into sport and supporting the future of local sporting clubs.
Clubs Online registration:
In order for families to access KidSport funding, clubs need to be registered as a KidSport Club with the Shire of Chittering. A simple fact sheet and outline of the process is available here and Clubs can complete the process via the KidSport website here.
Families seeking KidSport Funding:
Applicants listed on a valid Health Care or Pensioner Concession card should now:
- Apply online at the Department of Sport and Recreation website here OR
- Submit a KidSport application form and a copy of the card to their local government.
KidSport no longer has referral agents.
- Applicants NOT listed on a valid concession card need to meet one of the new KidSport Financial Exceptions listed on the DSR website. Further details on valid exceptions is available here.
- If you meet an exception you can apply for KidSport through a KidSport Financial Assessor.
